Is there anything that can be done
about squealing hearing aids?
Absolutely! Squealing means there is something
wrong that must be corrected. Some of the possible causes include:
- Loose fitting hearing aid/earmold
- Wax in the ear canal
- Damage to the hearing aid
- Improper insertion of the hearing aid
It is normal for hearing aids to squeal when your
hand or some other object is covering the hearing aid. A weak battery
does not cause squealing. Newer digital hearing aid technology cancels
squealing (feedback) before it occurs. Come in for a free demonstration

My hearing aids
help a lot, but I cannot understand in certain situations like at
meetings and church. I also cannot hold a conversation with my spouse
while in the car.
FM systems are the perfect solution.
The person you are trying to hear uses a small microphone. This
microphone transmits speech directly into your hearing aids. This
eliminates most background noise and you pick up only what you want
to hear. FM systems work up to a distance of about 100 feet. Many
theaters and places of worship have built in FM that can be used
with your personal FM System. Ask for a free demonstration at Audiphone.
